If you’re a qualified UK teacher, your qualifications will automatically be recognised in Australia, meaning you are eligible to teach there. Once you have your placement, you will then need to register with the appropriate state registration board for teaching. But don’t worry too much about that, our recruitment team will be available to assist with everything you need to do before you start your job.

Don’t hold any teaching qualifications but still want to move abroad? We have a number of opportunities available across China working as a TEFL/CELTA teacher (teaching English as a foreign language/certificate in English Language teaching to adults) or TESOL teacher (teaching English to speakers of other languages). To be considered for an overseas position:

  • You must have at least two years teaching experience (excluding TEFL/CELTA or TESOL positions)
  • A valid DBS (or equivalent police check from your home country)
  • Interest in a position lasting from up to 12 months to two years.
