Job description:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Community Mental Health Nurse to join an Assessment and Treatment Service in Sussex. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team (RMN’s, SW,OT’s, psychologists, STR and peer support workers) and provide specialist assessment, treatment and care to a caseload of people with a range of mental health problems from the local community. You must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, flexible and able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and demonstrate a commitment to the recovery model.

The ATS is divided into 3 mini teams called clusters and each cluster has a consultant psychiatrist, cluster leads as well as LP’s.

Main duties of the job:

The Assessment and Treatment Service is a lively community mental health team supporting people living with severe and enduring mental health problems. You will hold a caseload of people who are cared for within a recovery focused model of care designed to enable and encourage service users to develop positive coping strategies to maximise their independence and potential. You will work in partnership with a diverse team of clinicians and support staff including psychologists, psychiatrists, support workers and our third sector partners.

You will be responsible for carrying out initial assessments, being the duty worker, depot administration, completing care plans and risk assessments, and completion of referrals where necessary.
