Job title: Healthcare Assistant
Band: Band 3
Location: Ilford
Hours: Full time hours on shift rota 7 days a week. Days 08.00-20.00 and Nights 20.00-08.00
Rates: £13.50-19 per hour dependant on shifts completed.
To be considered for this role you need a minimum of 6 months NHS experience within the last 2 years.
Job Description:
Are you an experienced Healthcare Assistant looking for agency shifts in the Ilford area? We’re working with an outstanding NHS Trust to recruit an individual to work ad hoc shifts Long days and Nights within the UTC department.
Successful candidates will need:
- Full NMC registration
- Enhanced DBS
- At least 6 months NHS experience
To work at UTC you must be confident and competent in the below skills:
- Observations and NEWs / PEWs documentation
- ECG’s
- GCS / AVPU
- Urine Testing and HCG
- Blood Glucose Testing
Desirable skills but not essential:
- Plaster of Paris
- Venepuncture
- Snellen Chart
- Wound Care
- Removal of stitches and clips
- Splints and slings
