Athona Recruitment have an excellent permanent job opportunity for an CAMHS Consultant to work for a private inpatient service based in North West. This is a full-time role, providing psychiatric care to patients on a 15 bedded CAMHS unit with both general acute pathway and alternative eating disorder pathway.
In this role, you will be providing psychiatric care to inpatients alongside providing the clinical leadership on the unit to ensure safe and effective service delivery The post is support by a full time Specialty Doctor and the post holder will be working within a multi-disciplinary team.
Salary: £170,000 per annum
Position: CAMHS Consultant
Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week
Setting: PICU ward
Location: North West
For this role, you will be responsible for:
- Working as the Consultant and Responsible Clinician as part of the MDT
- Take overall responsibility for patient care and treatment plans in conjunction with the MDT
- Timely assessment of referrals along with the MDT
- Conducting Comprehensive Assessments and Treatment Plannings with patients
- Timely discharge GP notifications and discharge summaries
- To contribute to the unit governance through expertise and leadership
- Prepare and supervise reports for Mental Health Act Review Tribunals & Managers Hearings alongside giving evidence within these meetings
- Participate in a 1:3 non-resident second on call out of hours rota
- Offering Clinical Leadership in collaboration with Ward Manager
- Ensuring Ward is complaint with Organisational and Regulatory requirements
- Attending ward governance meetings with ward manager
- Working with organisational quality improvement (QPIs) initiatives
- Attending Monthly CAMHS governance meetings

For this role, we’re looking for someone who is:
- MBBS or Equivalent Medical Degree and MRCPsych
- Full GMC registration with license to practice
- Registered on the specialist register with CAMHS CCT/CESR along with valid AC Status
- Experienced & knowledgeable in CAMHS
- Knowledgeable of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, along with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Practice
- Committed to continued professional development
- Desirable to have had significant experience of inpatient CAMHS and treatment disordered eating Able to work collaboratively as a part of a multi-disciplinary team
