Job Description
Are you a clinical psychologist looking for an exciting new locum position? We’re working with an outstanding NHS Trust in Nottingham who is looking for an individual with HCPC registration to provide a clinical psychology service to adults with intellectual disabilities in the community.
The role includes direct work with individuals; work with families and carers; support to MDT colleagues; contributing to the SSD ID psychology service; teaching, research and service developments.
This post requires the ability to work in a wide variety of contexts, with people who have a wide range of communication styles, and a wide range of psychological and other needs across residential units and day services where patients can be physically challenging.
You will also take responsibility for vulnerable people in situations where other staff are not nearby; and to act appropriately and responsibly so as to minimise risk while providing 1:1 therapies in clinics and in clients’ homes.
The ideal candidate will have recent NHS experience, enhanced DBS and must have right to work in the UK as well as a Doctoral level qualification in clinical psychology.
