Job Description

What if I said you could work 10 shifts a month and still earn around £104,000 per annum with a fixed 12 or 24 month guaranteed contract.

That’s exactly what a new role in Australia could look like.

I am looking for Emergency Medicine Registrars with 4 years post grad experience (CT2+) who are looking to relocate to Australia, to join some of the most amazing private Emergency Departments, most of which are doctor owned and run.

You will work just 10 night shifts per month – and that’s it. No on-calls. No weekend bleeps.

When you’re off, you’re really off. Leaving plenty of time to explore beaches, rainforests or Australia’s vibrant cities.

Oh, and did you know the average A&E waiting time in Australia is about 20 minutes!

Salary: AUD $208,000 (≈ £104k) | $1,700 (£850 per shift)
Position: Emergency Med Registrar
Hours: 10 night shifts per month
Setting: A&E
Location: Australia – Adelaide

Your key responsibilities will be;

  • Deliver high-quality emergency care across mixed presentations
  • Work within consultant-led teams with senior support always available
  • Participate in teaching and clinical governance
  • Contribute to smooth departmental flow and patient safety
  • Enjoy autonomy balanced with support

For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;

  • GMC registration with full licence to practise
  • Minimum 4 years post-graduate experience (CT2+)
  • Strong A&E background – trust-grade, locum or fellowship experience welcome
  • Comfortable with night work and independent decision-making
  • Enthusiasm for relocation and team culture

What benefits are on offer;

  • Visa & medical registration support
  • Relocation and travel help
  • 12- or 24-month guaranteed contract
  • $1700 AUD per shift, that’s £104k for 10 shifts per month!
  • Excellent worklife balance – 20 minutes average wait time per patient
  • Opportunities across tertiary hospitals, regional services and private clinics

Why Australia?

Half the population has private insurance, and most EDs are fee-for-service. You’ll find shorter wait times, better staffing ratios, and more time to practise real emergency medicine – with days off to explore beaches, wineries and warm evenings outdoors.
