We have an excellent permanent job opportunity for a General Adult Associate Specialist working for a private service based in Surrey. This is a full-time role covering a male acute ward.
Salary: £85,000 per annum
Position: General Adult Associate Specialist
Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week
Setting: Male acute ward
Location: Surrey
For this role, you will be responsible for:
- Clinical assessment, formulation and treatment
- Ensuring an adequate handover to colleagues
- Seeking collateral history from other professionals and family.
- Completing discharge letters/reports/s62 forms as required in a timely manner.
- Preparing First-tier Tribunal and Hospital Managers’ hearing reports under the supervision of the Consultant.
- Depending on your experience, providing oral evidence at First-tier Tribunal and Hospital Managers’ hearings under the supervision of the Consultant.
- Contributing to the service development by participating in Clinical Governance activities by conducting audits, research and teaching.
- Providing prospective cover to other specialty doctors when they are on leave
- Essential criteria
- Full GMC registration
- To be in good standing for CPD with the Royal College of Psychiatrists
- At least 3 years’ experience of working in psychiatry
