Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Locum Liaison Consultant to work with an NHS Trust in London. This full-time locum position is based in an Inpatient setting where you will be working with General and Older adult patients, with proposed working hours of working Monday – Tuesday, 16 hours a week. Responsibilities will include:
· To provide clinical leadership alongside colleague consultant psychiatrist
· To attend and provide oversight to handover meetings where the tasks of the day will be decided and work allocated.
· To contribute to the assessments of both general adults and older adults when required, including assessment, diagnosis and formulation of patients.
· To provide consultation and support to patients with complex needs or support to MDT in decision making.
· To provide cross cover with other medical colleagues for annual leave when required.
· To maintain excellent records on BEH system and at general hospital.
· To ensure that junior doctors working with them are compliant with the Working Time Directive and supported informally and formally
The role is set to begin ASAP and will last for a 3 month initial contract with option to extend after, offering an hourly rate between £115 – £125. Please note that this position is inside IR35 payment guidelines.
