Currently we have an excellent opportunity NMC registered non-medical prescriber to join our client to work with service users for inpatient alcohol and opioid detoxification.
Salary: £47,085.94 – £52,541.86
Position: Non-Medical Prescriber
Hours: 37.5
Setting: Substance Misuse
Location: Dyfed, Wales
You will work with people who have to cope with a range of cognitive, physical and / or emotional symptoms following a severe brain injury. Rehabilitation is based on a neurobehavioral approach and focuses on enabling service users to function more independently and to participate in as many of their previous roles and activities as possible, while developing their lives with privacy, dignity and respect.
Providing strategic, professional leadership to the multi-disciplinary rehabilitation team, which includes Assistant Psychologists, Rehabilitation Support Workers, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Speech and Language Therapists.
Your responsibilities will include
- Conduct clinical assessments of service users’ needs and develop care plans accordingly.
- Determine the suitability of service users for in-patient alcohol and opioid detoxification when appropriate.
- Proactively review and manage clinical treatment plans for service users.
- Initiate and adjust prescriptions for opioid and/or alcohol substitute therapies, along with other related medications.
- Lead the development of the prescribing clinic, acting as a key point of contact for colleagues and partner agencies on prescribing matters.
For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;
- NMC registered nurse with current pin & three years post-qualification experience.
- A qualified non-medical prescriber
- Someone with at least one year’s relevant and recent experience in substance misuse treatment.
- Sound and demonstrable knowledge of clinical prescribing issues
