Athona is one of just 53 agencies to be awarded a place on the National Framework for PASA, the agency that oversees the supply of goods and services to the NHS.

The Framework enables participating trusts to enjoy the quality and cost benefits that have been secured through the new agreement, which commences on 1 July 2008 for a fixed period of three years.

It brings together both national and local suppliers, ensuring that high standards of compliance are kept, while also stipulating the total fee any agency can charge.

Participants of the agreement, which has been established on behalf of all NHS bodies throughout England and Wales, can also choose to enter Service Level Agreements (SLAs), whereby preferred suppliers are selected, who can then offer that trust reduced agency fees.

Athona’s inclusion in this Framework highlights the quality of service we provide and the stringent standards of compliance to which we adhere.

Stewart London, Managing Director of Athona, said:

“We’re delighted that Athona is PASA Approved and now part of the National Framework agreement, and we’re already working towards our first formal agreements with several groups of NHS trusts. One of our core strengths is our ability to develop ongoing relationships with our clients and candidates, and we believe that our inclusion on the Framework will enable us to build on that strength.”
