Staff and students from Sawyers Hall College embarked on a college Sport Tour to Florida. Once there they competed in Rugby, Football, Netball and Cheerleading fixtures against local opposition. With this, the students had the opportunity to take in some trips and excursions like an Airboat ride through the Everglades, a day at a theme park and shopping in some of the largest Malls in America.
The tour was a great success, enjoyed by all and ended with all teams coming back victorious. The Rugby team particularly shone wearing their new shirts sponsored by Athona Recruitment they played and beat two college teams in Miami and enjoyed an emphatic win 38 – 7 against County Squad in Orlando. It was an excellent tour enjoyed by all and Sawyers Hall are already in preparations for a new tour next year.
