Ready to move on from 2020? Start the New Year on the right foot with sound financial advice tailored specifically for you. Working as a locum doctor, we know you face a different set of challenges that could impact you financially – whether that’s having access to financial advice due to unsociable working hours, variable income or working from various locations.

Back in January 2020, at the first of our Advisory Board events, those attending highlighted they’d like more support, not just on their career, but around all aspects of their life. We’ve listened. We’re excited to announce the first in a series of webinars, alongside further tools and content, which we’ll be bringing to our candidates in the forthcoming year and beyond.

Athona has teamed up with financial experts, Wesleyan, to bring you tailored and specialised financial advice. Wesleyan’s Financial Consultants provide advice to selected professional groups which includes doctors, GPs, dentists and teachers. In this first webinar, co-hosted with Athona, the guidance and advice has been tailored specifically to the requirements of doctors, and in particular locum doctors.

During the free of charge 60-minute webinar you will gain 1 CPD point, as we discuss Mortgage Matters and touch on the Stamp Duty holiday, as well as:

  • Clearing debts
  • Initial considerations and building your case
  • Mortgage types
  • Points for first time buyers
  • Remortgaging and moving home
  • Next steps and Wesleyan’s mortgage service
