Job Description
Currently we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join a highly specialised Eating Disorders service, providing clinical leadership to a 12-bed inpatient ward supporting adults with low BMI. Working as the Responsible Clinician, you will lead a multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while overseeing treatment plans, clinical governance and service development within a specialist mental health setting.
Salary: Up to £175,000 per annum DOE + £15,000 Welcome Bonus

Your key responsibilities will be;
- Lead high-quality psychiatric care for adult eating disorder inpatients.
- Act as Responsible Clinician for all patients on the ward.
- Complete patient assessments, diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Conduct ward rounds, reviews and clinical audits.
- Lead risk management and clinical governance initiatives.
- Prepare reports and attend Mental Health Act tribunals.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and external agencies.
For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;
- Full GMC registration and MBBS (or equivalent).
- CCT/CESR and Specialist Register entry.
- Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status.
- Experience working within eating disorders and adult mental health.
- MRCPsych or an equivalent recognised qualification.
