Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 3 Mental Health Care Assistant to work with an NHS client of ours within a CAMHS inpatient unit in Oxfordshire. This locum position is offering 37.5 hours per week, with flexible working across 7 days and 24-hour cover required.
The role is set to begin ASAP, with the end date currently TBC. This role is offering an hourly rate which is £15.80-£24 Per Hour. Please note that this position is inside IR35.
Job Role:
· The post holder will provide care and support to a young person within a CAMHS inpatient setting.
· Previous CAMHS inpatient experience is essential, with ideally experience and skills in nursing a young person with Autism.
· The post holder will need to demonstrate the ability to manage aggression and violence as part of the team, with PEACE/PMVA experience.
· The role requires staff members who can provide high-quality care and support within a 24-hour, 7-day service.
· The plan is to support and integrate the patient back into their home environment, with the potential for the position to continue once they return home as ongoing care will be required.
Essential for the role
· Previous CAMHS inpatient experience
· Ideally experience in nursing a young person with Autism
· Ability to manage aggression and violence
· PEACE/PMVA training or experience
· Good written and verbal English
· Availability to work flexibly across 7 days and provide 24-hour cover
