About the Role
Athona Nursing is currently recruiting experienced Band 5 Registered General Nurses (RGNs) to provide cover across various acute wards at NHS Hospital in Surrey.
This is an excellent opportunity for nurses with acute hospital experience who are looking for flexible ad-hoc shifts in a busy hospital environment.
Successful candidates will support the delivery of safe, effective and compassionate patient care, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to meet patients’ clinical needs.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, patient-centred nursing care across acute wards.
Assess, monitor and evaluate patients’ conditions, escalating concerns appropriately.
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.
Work collaboratively with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
Ensure compliance with infection prevention, safeguarding and patient safety standards.
Support patients throughout their treatment, recovery and discharge planning.
Requirements
Valid NMC registration as a Registered General Nurse.
Previous experience working as a Band 5 RGN in an acute hospital setting.
Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Flexibility to cover long-day and night shifts.
