Athona Recruitment took on their second charity quiz night of the year on Friday (17th October), raising an amazing £902.22 for local charity, Hopefield Animal Sanctuary.
With 6 teams of 12 raring to go, Athona achieved the amazing total through ticket prices, heads and tails lottery, and a raffle; with all the prizes kindly donated by Athona employees and local shops.
Together with the total from the recent quiz night and company dress down days, on a recent visit to Hopefield Athona presented them with a cheque for £995.16.
The money raised will go towards food for the animals, veterinary bills, general maintenance and upkeep of the sanctuary. Hopefield has been running for over 30 years and helps care for over 200 unwanted, sick and mistreated animals. Leona Lewis is a patron of the animal sanctuary and recently donated some new horse stables and continuously helps to spread awareness of Hopefield Animal Sanctuary through her social media.
Athona have set about planning their next charity event, with a charity ball set to take place on Saturday April 18th at Woolston Manor Golf & Country Club.
