Job Description 

Currently we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to take a lead role in developing and delivering Occupational Therapy services within a specialist mental health setting in Hertfordshire.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician to provide evidence-based, person-centred interventions that support individuals to develop independence, confidence, coping strategies and meaningful life skills.

Working as a senior member of the therapy team, you will lead assessments, treatment planning and individual and group interventions, while providing supervision and support to Occupational Therapists, assistants and students.

Your key responsibilities will be;

  • Lead and develop Occupational Therapy services within a specialist mental health setting.
  • Complete comprehensive assessments and develop person-centred treatment plans.
  • Deliver individual and group therapeutic interventions supporting recovery and independence.
  • Provide specialist Occupational Therapy input within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Supervise and support Occupational Therapists, assistants and students.
  • Contribute to care coordination and collaborative recovery planning.
  • Develop therapeutic programmes addressing living skills, education and rehabilitation.

For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;

  • BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy and active HCPC registration.
  • Current Royal College of Occupational Therapists membership.
  • At least three years’ Occupational Therapy experience.
  • At least one year’s specialist mental health or CAMHS experience.
  • Experience using psychometric and risk assessment tools.
