Job Title: Band 6 CPN – Community Nurse

Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse to work with an NHS client of ours within their Adult Mental Health Team in Oxford. This locum position is offering 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, working 09:00–17:00.
The role is set to begin ASAP, with the end date currently TBC. This role is offering an hourly rate which is £27. Please note that this position is inside IR35. Remote working is not possible.
Job Role:
· The post holder will conduct bio-psycho-social assessments and provide appropriate care and support to patients within the community.
· They will be able to offer evidence-based brief interventions and provide longer-term input for patients with serious mental illness, while managing an allocated caseload.
· The post holder will undertake duty tasks relating to new referrals and make appropriate clinical decisions as required.
· They will be responsible for administering depot medications as required.
· The post holder will conduct risk assessments and develop and review care plans in accordance with patients’ needs.
· They will raise safeguarding concerns as required and ensure appropriate action is taken.
· The post holder will participate in multidisciplinary team discussions and work collaboratively with colleagues to support patient care.
Essential for the role
· Relevant experience within a similar Community Mental Health role
· Experience conducting bio-psycho-social assessments and risk assessments
· Ability to provide evidence-based brief interventions
· Experience administering depot medications
· Experience managing a caseload and providing longer-term input for patients with SMI
· Ability to participate effectively in MDT discussions
· Availability to work this post Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00, and travel/work from the above region
