Band 6 Community Nurse – Dementia Services | Shropshire | Up to £27.00 Gross per Hour
Athona is recruiting an experienced Band 6 Community Nurse to join a specialist Dementia Service in Shropshire on a 12-week locum contract, starting ASAP.

Band: 6
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 12 weeks
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Shift Pattern: 09:00 – 17:00
Rate: £27.00 per hour (Full Gross) / £20.87 per hour (PAYE)
Payment: PAYE arrangements only
The Role
You will support the referrals management process and provide intensive community-based care for service users living with dementia and their carers. The role involves managing a complex caseload, delivering evidence-based interventions, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.
Key Requirements
Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered General Nurse (RGN) with relevant community experience.
Previous experience working with older adults living with dementia.
Experience managing complex community caseloads.
Able to work independently in a fast-paced community setting.
Supervisory or leadership experience is desirable.
Excellent communication and clinical assessment skills.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
