Job Description

Currently, we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Band 7 Occupational Therapist to join a supportive Therapies service within a medical ward setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced clinician with recent team leadership experience to make a meaningful difference to patient care and rehabilitation.

Salary: Competitive/dependent on experience

Position: Band 7 Occupational Therapist

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Setting: Medical ward/Acute Therapies

Location: Harlow, Essex

Your key responsibilities will be;

  • Assess, treat and support patients within a medical ward environment.
  • Develop and implement effective occupational therapy treatment plans.
  • Lead discharge planning to support safe and timely patient transitions.
  • Provide clinical leadership and support to the wider therapy team.
  • Complete comprehensive assessments and identify appropriate patient interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure professional standards are upheld.

For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;

  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • At least five years’ post-registration occupational therapy experience.
  • Recent experience in a team leadership position.
  • Experience working within a medical ward or acute setting.
  • Knowledge of moving and handling, BLS and SystmOne.
