Currently we have an excellent opportunity for a Chemical Pathologist to join a nationally recognised specialist diagnostic pathology service in Christchurch, New Zealand. Working within an innovation-focused laboratory, you’ll provide expert biochemical diagnostic services while contributing to research, teaching, quality improvement and the development of advanced laboratory medicine.

Your key responsibilities will be;
- Deliver specialist chemical pathology and biochemical diagnostic services.
- Provide expert clinical interpretation and laboratory consultation.
- Support quality assurance and test validation activities.
- Contribute to specialist biochemical and metabolic testing.
- Participate in teaching, research and service development.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary laboratory and clinical teams.
- Support innovation using advanced diagnostic technologies.
For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;
- Fellowship or equivalent specialist pathology qualification.
- Eligibility for Medical Council of New Zealand registration.
- Experience or interest in specialist biochemistry.
- Excellent communication and clinical judgement skills.
- Commitment to quality improvement and collaborative practice.
