Currently we have an excellent opportunity for a Clinical Haematologist to join a nationally recognised tertiary haematology and stem cell transplant service. Working within a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team, you’ll deliver specialist care to patients undergoing complex stem cell transplantation while contributing to service development, research, teaching, and quality improvement. Position: Clinical Haematologist – Stem Cell Transplant

Hours: Full Time

Setting: Tertiary Hospital – Haematology & Stem Cell Transplant Service

Location: Christchurch, New Zealand

Your key responsibilities will be;

• Deliver specialist haematology care across inpatient and outpatient services.
• Manage autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplant patients.
• Assess patients and develop personalised treatment plans.
• Coordinate transplant pathways and ongoing follow-up care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes.
• Participate in teaching, research and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support safe, compassionate and evidence-based clinical practice.

For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;

• Fellowship or equivalent specialist haematology qualification.
• Eligibility for New Zealand vocational registration.
• Stem cell transplantation experience.
• Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills.
• Commitment to multidisciplinary, patient-centred care.
