Currently we have an excellent opportunity for a Clinical Haematologist to join a nationally recognised tertiary haematology and stem cell transplant service. Working within a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team, you’ll deliver specialist care to patients undergoing complex stem cell transplantation while contributing to service development, research, teaching, and quality improvement. Position: Clinical Haematologist – Stem Cell Transplant
Hours: Full Time
Setting: Tertiary Hospital – Haematology & Stem Cell Transplant Service
Location: Christchurch, New Zealand
Your key responsibilities will be;
- Deliver specialist haematology care across inpatient and outpatient services.
- Manage autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplant patients.
- Assess patients and develop personalised treatment plans.
- Coordinate transplant pathways and ongoing follow-up care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes.
- Participate in teaching, research and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support safe, compassionate and evidence-based clinical practice.
For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;
- Fellowship or equivalent specialist haematology qualification.
- Eligibility for New Zealand vocational registration.
- Stem cell transplantation experience.
- Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills.
- Commitment to multidisciplinary, patient-centred care.
