Job Description
Currently we have an excellent opportunity to join a large coastal tertiary anaesthetic service covering trauma, high-risk obstetrics, and complex surgery across multiple modern hospitals. You’ll work with extensive theatre lists, support education for a large trainee cohort, and access granted private practice rights.
Salary: Up to $454,145 p.a. (ETR) inclusive of allowances and private practice earnings.
Position: Consultant Anaesthetist
Hours: Full-time
Setting: Level 1 trauma, theatres, interventional suites, obstetrics, perioperative medicine
Location: Gold Coast, Queensland
Your key responsibilities will be;
- Deliver consultant anaesthesia across theatres and interventional suites
- Provide obstetric, trauma, and paediatric anaesthesia as rostered
- Participate in after-hours and shared on-call rosters
- Lead perioperative assessment and optimisation pathways
- Supervise and teach registrars, RMOs, and MDT colleagues
- Contribute to governance, audit, and quality improvement
- Support pain management and perioperative safety initiatives
For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;
- On specialist reg via CCT and FRCA
- GMC Registered
- Proven leadership in high-acuity perioperative care
- Strong commitment to education and governance
