Job Description
Currently we have an excellent opportunity to join a specialist adolescent inpatient service supporting young people aged 13–18 with acute mental health needs, delivering high-quality, trauma-informed care within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Salary: Up to £170,000
Position: Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist
Hours: Full Time
Setting: Adolescent Inpatient Unit
Location: Charlwood, Surrey
Your key responsibilities will be;
- Provide psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and management of young people
- Lead MDT formulation and treatment planning
- Prescribe and monitor medication in line with NICE guidelines
- Conduct ward rounds, CPA reviews, and Mental Health Act assessments
- Liaise with families, carers, and external agencies
- Support safeguarding and management of complex cases
- Contribute to clinical leadership, governance, and service development
For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;
- Full GMC registration with licence to practise, ideally with S12.
- Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT and AC
- Experience working in CYPMHS inpatient settings
- Strong leadership and multidisciplinary team-working skills
- Commitment to trauma-informed and safeguarding practices
