Job Description
Currently we have an excellent opportunity for a Consultant Neuropsychiatrist to join a brand-new specialist neurocognitive service for men, scheduled to open in early 2027.
Salary: Up to £170,000 per annum, depending on experience
Position: Consultant Neuropsychiatrist
Hours: Full-Time
Setting: Specialist Neurocognitive Service
Location: North Wales
Your key responsibilities will be;
- Provide senior medical leadership and clinical oversight for inpatient service users.
- Act as Responsible Clinician, overseeing assessment, treatment and care planning.
- Conduct ward rounds, patient reviews, assessments and clinical audits.
- Lead risk assessment, management and clinical governance across the service.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Support Mental Health Act tribunals, managers’ hearings and Ministry of Justice requirements.
- Contribute to clinical teaching, CPD, quality improvement and research initiatives.
For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;
- Full GMC registration and MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Specialist Register status with CCT/CESR, plus Section 12 and AC status.
- Experience and knowledge within Neuropsychiatry or Neurocognitive services.
- Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
- MRCPsych or equivalent qualification, with a commitment to continued professional development.
