Currently we have an excellent opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join a well-established specialist mental health hospital providing therapeutic, recovery-focused treatment for adults with complex mental health needs.
Salary: £170,000 per annum
Position: Consultant Psychiatrist
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Setting: Adult acute inpatient mental health service
Location: Southampton, Hampshire
Your key responsibilities will be;
- Provide consultant psychiatric care for up to 18 adult inpatients.
- Undertake comprehensive assessments and lead regular ward rounds.
- Develop and deliver tailored, patient-centred treatment plans.
- Provide clinical leadership across the multidisciplinary team.
- Supervise and support the Specialty Doctor within the clinical team.
- Support patient flow through clinical reviews, risk management and discharge planning.
- Contribute to clinical governance, audit and ongoing service development.
For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;
- Current GMC registration.
- Specialist Registration in a psychiatric speciality.
- Approved Clinician status, or eligibility to obtain Approved Clinician status.
- Experience in UK acute inpatient psychiatry.
- Strong multidisciplinary working and patient-centred clinical leadership skills.
