Job Description
Currently we have an excellent opportunity for a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join a Tier 4 inpatient CAMHS eating disorders service, providing specialist care to young people aged 12–18 within a highly supportive multidisciplinary team.
Salary: Up to £170,000 + £10,000 welcome bonus
Position: Consultant Psychiatrist – CYPMHS (Eating Disorders)
Hours: Part-time, 3 days per week
Setting: Tier 4 Child & Adolescent Inpatient Service
Location: Hertfordshire
Your key responsibilities will be;
- Review referrals and determine appropriateness for inpatient admission
- Conduct comprehensive admission, psychiatric and physical health assessments
- Lead risk assessments and oversee effective, evidence-based management plans
- Provide clinical leadership, supervision and reflective practice to MDT
- Supervise specialty doctors and psychiatric trainees
- Participate in consultant on-call rota and cross-cover arrangements
- Uphold safeguarding, governance and high-quality record keeping standards
For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;
- GMC Specialist Register in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
- Experience within CYPMHS Eating Disorders services
- Strong leadership and multidisciplinary teamworking skills
- Commitment to clinical governance and safeguarding standards
- Interest in research, teaching and service development
