Currently we have an excellent opportunity for a Forensic Psychologist to join a low secure service supporting 12 male patients with mental health needs. You will play a key role within a multidisciplinary team, providing psychological assessment and interventions to support patient recovery, whilst promoting dignity, respect and high standards of care.

Salary: £50,500 per annum
Position: Forensic Psychologist
Hours: Full Time – 37.5 hours per week, flexibility available
Setting: Low Secure Mental Health
Location: Heath, Chesterfield, Derbyshire

Your key responsibilities will be;

  • Conduct timely psychological assessments following referrals and develop person-centred treatment plans.
  • Deliver individual and group therapy sessions tailored to patient needs and therapeutic goals.
  • Manage an assigned caseload, maintaining effective communication with patients and colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery and care planning.
  • Adapt psychological interventions and activities according to individual patient needs.
  • Maintain appropriate clinical records and work within agreed timescales.
  • Promote dignity, respect and high standards of patient care.

For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;

  • A recognised postgraduate qualification leading to eligibility for HCPC registration.
  • Current HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
  • Experience or interest in working within forensic or low secure mental health services.
  • Ability to deliver effective individual and group psychological interventions.
  • BPS registration is desirable.
