Job Description
Currently, we have an excellent opportunity for a General Practitioner with Extended Role (GPwER) to work across both Primary and Urgent care.
This is a fully employed fixed term contract, as such subject to all NHS employment benefits including paid annual leave & strong employer pension contributions.
Salary: Up to £115,167
Position: GP
Hours: Full-time/Part-time
Setting: Primary care walk-in centre, community settings, and general hospital
Location: Hawick, Scotland
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Provide urgent care services in primary and community settings
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Assess and manage a range of medical conditions
- Promote and develop clinical governance
- Lead quality initiatives within the team
- Provide medical advice to patients and staff
- Maintain patient care records
For this role, we’re looking for someone who has:
- GMC registration and GP qualification
- Experience in urgent care or general practice
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work flexibly in varied settings
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
