Job Description
Currently we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Lead Occupational Therapist to join an established specialist mental health service supporting adult men with complex and enduring mental health needs. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will manage a complex caseload and deliver evidence-based, person-centred occupational therapy interventions designed to support rehabilitation, recovery and independence.
You will provide clinical leadership to the occupational therapy team, supporting junior colleagues while ensuring high standards of assessment, treatment planning, record keeping and patient care. You will also have access to ongoing training and CPD opportunities to support your professional development.
Salary: £54,315 per annum

Your key responsibilities will be;
- Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to support individual care pathways.
- Manage and coordinate occupational therapy treatment plans and interventions.
- Ensure accurate and timely records are maintained regarding patient rehabilitation and progress.
- Provide effective supervision and management to junior occupational therapy staff.
- Support clinical teamwork through direct interventions and staff training programmes.
- Complete assessments and deliver appropriate individual and group interventions.
- Develop patients’ living skills, rehabilitation opportunities and meaningful activities.
For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;
- A recognised Occupational Therapy qualification with current professional registration.
- At least three years’ post-qualifying occupational therapy experience.
- Experience using psychometric and risk assessment tools.
- Experience therapeutically engaging people with complex mental health needs.
- Experience supervising and managing junior team members.
