Job Description
Currently, we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse with Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) qualification and experience to undertake a locum position in Gibraltar.
This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified mental health professional to bring their clinical expertise to a role supporting individuals experiencing mental health difficulties. The successful candidate must be trained as an Approved Mental Health Professional and have the relevant professional registration.
Salary: £31,897-£42,147 per annum, depending on reckonable NHS service
Position: Locum Registered Mental Health Nurse (AMHP)
Hours: Full time – 40 hours per week, inclusive of on-call arrangements
Setting: Mental Health Services
Location: Gibraltar
Contract: Initial 6 months, with commencement as soon as possible
Your key responsibilities will be;
- Deliver professional mental health nursing care to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties.
- Undertake responsibilities appropriate to your clinical qualifications, experience and AMHP training.
- Contribute to the assessment and management of individuals with complex mental health needs.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues and relevant professionals.
- Support safe, effective and person-centred mental health care.
- Apply relevant mental health legislation and professional standards within your practice.
- Participate in on-call arrangements as required by the service.
For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;
- Current registration as a Mental Health Nurse with the NMC or equivalent regulatory body.
- Completed Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) training.
- Relevant experience working as an AMHP.
- Experience working within mental health services and multidisciplinary teams.
- Availability to commence as soon as possible for an initial six-month assignment.
