Currently we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join a specialist Women’s Health service providing high-quality obstetric and gynaecological care across maternity, acute obstetrics, gynaecology and surgical services. With multiple permanent opportunities available throughout New Zealand, this role offers the flexibility to find a location that suits both your professional ambitions and lifestyle.

Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you’ll provide comprehensive care across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal services, acute gynaecology, outpatient clinics and theatre, while contributing to teaching, service development and clinical excellence.

Setting: Women’s Health Service – Public Hospital

Location: Multiple Locations, New Zealand

Your key responsibilities will be;

  • Deliver specialist obstetric and gynaecology care.
  • Manage antenatal, labour, birth and postnatal services.
  • Provide outpatient clinics and inpatient reviews.
  • Perform elective and emergency gynaecological procedures.
  • Participate in labour ward and on-call rotas.
  • Supervise junior doctors and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;

  • Fellowship or equivalent Obstetrics and Gynaecology qualification.
  • Eligibility for Medical Council of New Zealand registration.
  • Broad obstetrics and gynaecology experience.
  • Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centred care.
