Job Description
Currently we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a specialist multidisciplinary team within an inpatient mental health setting.
Working within a therapeutic environment, you will play a vital role in supporting patients to develop the confidence, skills and coping strategies required to maximise independence and improve their quality of life.
You will work closely with psychologists, nurses, psychiatrists and therapy colleagues to deliver individualised, recovery-focused interventions that support patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Therapist looking to develop their experience within mental health rehabilitation while working in a beautiful countryside setting with access to extensive therapeutic facilities and outdoor programmes.
Salary: Competitive salary DOE
Position: Occupational Therapist
Hours: Full Time – 37.5 hours per week
Setting: Inpatient Mental Health Rehabilitation
Location: Stapleford Tawney, near Romford, Essex
Your key responsibilities will be;
- Complete comprehensive occupational therapy assessments.
- Develop personalised treatment and rehabilitation plans.
- Deliver individual and group therapy interventions.
- Support patients to achieve independence goals.
- Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
- Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records.
For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;
- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- BSc or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
- Experience within mental health or rehabilitation settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for person-centred rehabilitation and recovery.
