Job Description

Currently we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Practitioner Psychologist to join a specialist mental health service in West Sussex, supporting individuals with complex presentations and delivering high-quality psychological assessment and intervention.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Psychologist to work within a multidisciplinary team, providing specialist psychological input across assessment, formulation, therapeutic intervention and care planning.

Please note: This position is offered on a permanent contract, with the role initially providing 12-month maternity cover.

Salary: £55,000 per annum

Your key responsibilities will be;

• Undertake specialist psychological assessments for service users with complex presentations.
• Deliver individual and group psychological interventions using evidence-based approaches.
• Complete diagnostic and cognitive assessments using appropriate assessment tools.
• Develop and implement specialist psychological treatment and management plans.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support positive outcomes.
• Complete clinical risk assessments and make autonomous clinical decisions.
• Facilitate reflective practice sessions and contribute to staff training.

For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;

• BPS-recognised psychology qualifications and appropriate postgraduate qualifications.
• Active HCPC registration and Chartered Psychologist status.
• Approved supervisor status in accordance with relevant BPS guidelines.
• Experience applying psychological knowledge within a clinical setting.
• Experience working with complex presentations and cognitive deficits.
