Currently we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Psychiatrist to join a specialist mental health service delivering high-quality care across inpatient, outpatient and community settings. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you’ll provide specialist psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and treatment while supporting patients with complex mental health needs. Your key responsibilities will be;

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and risk evaluations.
• Develop evidence-based treatment and recovery plans.
• Manage patients across inpatient, outpatient and community services.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external providers.
• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior staff.
• Participate in quality improvement and clinical governance.
• Deliver compassionate, culturally responsive patient care.

For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;

• Fellowship or equivalent specialist psychiatry qualification.
• Eligibility for Medical Council of New Zealand registration.
• Experience in general adult psychiatry.
• Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills.
• Commitment to recovery-focused, patient-centred care.
