Currently we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Psychiatrist to join a specialist mental health service delivering high-quality care across inpatient, outpatient and community settings. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you’ll provide specialist psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and treatment while supporting patients with complex mental health needs. Your key responsibilities will be;
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and risk evaluations.
- Develop evidence-based treatment and recovery plans.
- Manage patients across inpatient, outpatient and community services.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external providers.
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior staff.
- Participate in quality improvement and clinical governance.
- Deliver compassionate, culturally responsive patient care.
For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;
- Fellowship or equivalent specialist psychiatry qualification.
- Eligibility for Medical Council of New Zealand registration.
- Experience in general adult psychiatry.
- Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills.
- Commitment to recovery-focused, patient-centred care.
