Job Description
Currently we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced A&E Nurse to join a modern day surgery service delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. The role is for the right candidates to undertake face to face autonomous assessment and referral of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed presentations in the ED to the appropriate
pathway.
Salary: Up to £40,140 per annum
Position: A&E Nurse
Hours: Full-time – 1 Year Maternity leave cover
Setting: Acute Hospital
Location: Gibraltar
Your key responsibilities will be;
Responsible for assessing patient needs, planning, implementation and
evaluation of a programme of care. This being evidence based utilising all
available resources taking into consideration the lifestyle, gender and cultural
background. Ensuring the involvement with the patient, family, carers and
significant others.
Organise own workload to ensure that the interests of the patients/clients are
met.
To undertake any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as requested by
GHA Senior Management.
For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;
Essential Criteria
1 years post registration in acute clinical setting.
Extended clinical skills relevant to ED nursing
Demonstrates an understanding of current developments in emergency care
Self-motivated and works well under pressure, taking into account clinical priorities
Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with members of the multi-disciplinary team
Expert clinical knowledge of conditions presenting to ED
Ability to foster teamwork
Desirable Criteria
Post registration A&E course or equivalent
EPLS/ALS/Trauma course
Knowledge of alternative care pathways in the urgent care, environment
