Job Description

Currently we have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join a specialist neurological service supporting individuals with complex, long-term neurological conditions.

You’ll provide specialist assessment and intervention for communication and swallowing difficulties, managing a designated caseload while working closely with service users, families and the wider multidisciplinary team. The role also offers opportunities to contribute to audits, research and your continued professional development.

Salary: Up to £45,996 per annum

Location: Gloucester, South West England

Your key responsibilities will be;

• Manage a designated caseload using specialist clinical knowledge and experience.
• Complete assessments, plan interventions and evaluate outcomes.
• Provide specialist assessment and treatment for dysphagia.
• Deliver therapeutic group sessions supporting speech and communication.
• Build positive one-to-one relationships and encourage service user engagement.
• Work collaboratively with families and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to audits and research relating to clinical treatment.

For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;

• HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
• Experience managing caseloads involving assessment and treatment of dysphagia.
• Specialist knowledge of acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
• Experience working collaboratively with families and carers.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
