Currently we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Specialist Anaesthetist to join a leading hospital service delivering high-quality anaesthetic and perioperative care across elective and emergency surgery. Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you’ll provide safe, patient-centred anaesthetic care while supporting perioperative medicine, acute pain services and continuous service improvement in a modern healthcare environment.

Location: Multiple Locations, New Zealand
Your key responsibilities will be;
- Deliver anaesthesia for elective and emergency procedures.
- Conduct comprehensive preoperative patient assessments.
- Support perioperative and postoperative patient care.
- Contribute to acute pain and intensive care services.
- Participate in on-call and emergency rotas.
- Support clinical governance and quality improvement.
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;
- Fellowship or equivalent anaesthesia specialist qualification.
- Eligibility for Medical Council of New Zealand registration.
- Independent experience as a Specialist Anaesthetist.
- Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills.
- Commitment to safe, patient-centred clinical care.
