Job Description
Currently we have an excellent opportunity for a Specialty Doctor to join a well-established drug and alcohol recovery service, providing specialist medical care within a supportive multidisciplinary team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference by delivering evidence-based treatment, improving health outcomes and supporting individuals on their recovery journey.
Salary: £92,575.07 – £103,849.41 per annum
Position: Specialty Doctor
Hours: Full Time – 37.5 hours per week
Setting: Drug & Alcohol Recovery Service
Location: West Sussex
Your key responsibilities will be;
- Deliver comprehensive medical and psychiatric assessments for service users.
- Develop personalised, evidence-based treatment and recovery plans.
- Provide specialist prescribing in line with national clinical guidance.
- Conduct regular medical reviews and monitor treatment effectiveness.
- Support multidisciplinary colleagues through clinical advice and supervision.
- Contribute to clinical governance, audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Build effective relationships with healthcare partners and external agencies.
For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
- Completed Basic Medical Training and a recognised medical degree.
- Experience treating individuals within substance misuse services.
- Strong knowledge of addiction medicine and mental health.
- Excellent communication and multidisciplinary working skills.
