Job Title: Systemic & Family Psychotherapist – Eating Disorders

Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Systemic & Family Psychotherapist to work with a private client of ours in their inpatient unit in Sussex. This locum position is based in Brighton and Hove, with proposed working hours of 37.5 hours a week if full time.

The role is set to begin ASAP and will last for 3 months initially with a position to extend. This role is offering an hourly rate which is open for negotiation. Please note that this position is inside IR35.

 

Job Role:

The client treats patients 12-18 years with a primary diagnosis of an eating disorder, largely anorexia nervosa. Our patients present with significant co-morbidity including trauma, attachment difficulties and neurodivergence. Family therapy is essential to both support our families to manage the admission process, but in beginning to address some of the systemic factors maintaining the young person’s eating disorder. The role involves delivery of family and systemic interventions, contributing to the development of MDT formulations, supporting the provision of reflective practice and leading psychoeducational family support groups.

 

Essential for the role

UKCP Registered Family and Systemic Psychotherapist
Experience in CAMHS or eating disorders settings
Desirable

Training in ED evidence based approaches e.g. FT-AN
Experience in inpatient settings
