The Athona Amigos conquered this year’s Race for Life on Saturday in temperatures reaching 28 degrees. Dressed as cheerleaders, Director Tina London, Business Manager for Medicine Tanya Ironmonger and Business Development Manager for Mental Health Joanna Hoskins completed the 5k run in Brentwood in 55 minutes. The ladies managed to raise an amazing £1,010, thrashing their original target set of £500.

Tina London says:

“We’d like to give a huge thanks to everyone that sponsored us. Our friends, family and colleagues have been so generous with their donations and support. Race for Life is such a fantastic event raising much needed money for a truly amazing cause. Every pound raised is truly appreciated and will go directly towards beating cancer.”

A very special thank you to The Academy Dressing Room who kindly provided The Athona Amigos fantastic cheerleading costumes for the day. If you would like to find out more, visit their website: www.theacademy.me.uk.
