Job Description

Are you an experienced HCPC registered psychologist looking for an exciting new permanent position? We’re working with an outstanding private client who are seeking a qualified psychologist to join their eating disorders clinic.

This post is integral in supporting and developing psychological perspectives across the MDT as well as in providing assessments and therapy to patients and their families. Specialist psychological interventions (in individual, family and group settings) and therapeutic relationships play an important role in supporting vulnerable young people to overcome their eating disorder and prepare for life outside of hospital.

We are looking for an individual with eating disorder experience, however not essential where they have demonstrated experience across associate co-morbidities such as; ASD, complex trauma, EUPD, depression, OCD, self-harm.

Our client services some of the most complex patients in the UK. The role will include links with local Doctoral Programmes in Clinical and Counselling Psychology, with opportunities for research and clinical trainee placements. Every clinician has a generous annual CPD budget and where needed specialist external supervision can be bought in.

You will work across 28 inpatient beds for children and young people aged 8 to 18 years old across three units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting psychological assessments and formulating treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and group sessions.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and holistic care for patients.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential records of client progress and treatment outcomes.
  • Providing support and guidance to patients and their families throughout the treatment process.
  • Participating in clinical supervision, team meetings, and continuing professional development activities.
