A full Health and Safety risk assessment has been conducted in line with the working safely during Covid-19 offices contact centres guidance for employers, employees and the self-employed published 11th of May 2020. Any subsequent changes in guidelines or Health and Safety guidelines will be risk assessed, implemented where practicable and training provided to all employees.

The risk assessment includes all sections below and has been provided to all employees for consultation prior to return and to be used as a practical reference point of all key measures implemented going forward.

  • Managing Risk
  • Who should go to work
  • Social Distancing at Work
  • Managing your customers, visitors and contractors
  • Cleaning the workplace
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) and face coverings
  • Workforce Management
  • Inbound and outbound goods.

In advance of the offices reopening the senior leadership team have taken steps to ensure that safety arrangements are in place for all returning staff. Some of the headline measures are highlighted below.

  • Worked with the landlords and other occupants of the building to ensure everyone is complying with the guidance
  • Installed thermal imaging fever screening at the entrance to the office
  • Conducted a full deep clean and reinstated the professional cleaners. Increased hand sanitizing points throughout the building and offices and arranged regular cleaning throughout the day
  • Displayed safety signage, social distancing signs and directional flow throughout the offices
  • Prepared training materials for everyone to undertake prior to returning to the office
  • Set clear usage guidance for shared facilities
  • Serviced and sanitized drinking facilities, providing disposable cups and a contact free refreshment service
  • Switched the air conditioning to 100% fresh air instead of recirculated air throughout the building

By following the guidelines and implementing the safety measures we have reduced the risks to employees to the lowest practical level in order for them to return to the office safely. You can view Athona’s Staying Covid-19 Secure in 2020 certificate here.
