Job description:
Athona’s Nursing division is currently recruiting for an agency band 6 Nurse for a block booking, with an opportunity based in Walthamstow. You will be working days shifts as a band 6 RMN for an NHS Trust. The role of the clinician will be to undertake screening and a brief triage/telephone assessment of new referrals received into the SPA in respect of children and young people and to signpost appropriately depending on the child or young person’s presentation at the time of the triage. The responsibility of a SPA clinician is to provide a timely and effective service to children and young people taking into considering the holistic needs of their families and carers.
To be considered for this post applicants will need:
- Enhanced DBS
- Mental Health experience
- CAHMS expeirence is essential
Responsibilities: They will provide a range of intervention and assessment of patients, including those with multiple pathologies and complex mental health needs, taking into consideration the patient’s physical/cognitive/perceptual skills to identify the patient’s abilities and areas of difficulty. To be responsible for organising and prioritising own caseload in the day-to-day allocation of work, whilst being able to work flexibly to meet the needs of their patients, their relatives and carers and the service.
Skills: To act as an autonomous, registered practitioner who is legally and professionally accountable for own unsupervised actions guided by the professional code of conduct and Trust guidelines and protocols. The post holder will have Current Effective Status on the professional register.
