We have an excellent permanent job opportunity for a General Adult Consultant to work for a private inpatient service based in Cheshire. This is a full-time role in which the postholder will be responsible for providing medical and leadership for a10 bed Female PICU ward.

The hospital has a well-established system of clinical governance and a quality improvement programme. The successful candidate will be expected to lead the clinical governance programme on their ward and to participate in clinical governance at a hospital level.

Salary: £160,000 per annum + Medical indemnity

Position: General Adult Consultant

Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week

Setting: 10 bed Female PICU ward

Location: Cheshire

For this role, we’re looking for someone who is:

  • MBBS or Equivalent Medical Degree
  • MRCPsych, CCT/CESR
  • Full GMC registration with license to practice
  • Knowledgeable of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, along with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Practice
  • Committed to continued professional development
  • Desirable to have had significant experience of inpatient mental health acute units.
  • Able to work collaboratively as a part of a multi-disciplinary team
