As a Specialty Doctor General Adult Psychiatrist working for an NHS Trust in Yorkshire and Humber, your proposed hours will be Monday – Friday 9-5 in an Intensive Support Service. This role is a full-time position and will commence as soon as possible for 3 months initially. To be considered for this role, applicants will need full GMC registration, an enhanced DBS, Section 12.

Responsibilities of the role

  • Prioritisation of complex and risky cases who are admission vulnerable
  • Undertake home visits and visits elsewhere in the community depending on clinical need and expertise required (car driver)
  • Liaison with other professionals as required
  • Excellent communication skills employed
  • Prescribing using EPMA (Trust system)
  • Accurate and timely (same day) documentation of patient reviews, with clear plan with each entry on Care Director (EPR)
  • Application of the MCA and MHA when necessary. Must be S12 approved
  • Use of knowledge of safeguarding in clinical decision making
