Day in the life of an apprentice

What does a typical day look like for you?

A typical day for myself consists of booking shifts, sourcing new candidates and chasing compliance. I try to plan each day in advance so that I have allocated time for each task as this will allow me to focus more and avoid other distractions.

What tasks do you complete on a day-to-day basis?

I monitor, book and cancel shifts when necessary on a daily basis. I also allocate certain days to resource new candidates using jobs sites and other days I go from my compliance and make sure all my candidates are up to date with their training and other essential requirements.

What’s is your favourite part about working with Athona?

My favourite part about working with Athona is the team. We all work together to get the job done to the best of our abilities and are here to support one and other when needed.

What is your proudest achievement so far?

My proudest achievement so far is completing a Skydive for charity with other team members representing Athona.

Is recruitment what you thought it would be?

Yes. In recruitment you live off of every high and that is something that is seen in this office. As soon as there is success, it is celebrated by everyone which creates a great atmosphere.

What is the best bit of advice you’ve been given?

The best bit of advice I have been given is to not let the little obstacles get you down and hold you back, always push through and use it as motivation to work harder and achieve success.
